It gives me great pleasure to see the blossoming of a dream. When I started out in the field of ferro alloys almost 15 years ago, I could not have imagined that I was embarking into an area that would play an integral role in the development of a nation.

The industrial resurgence in India, especially in the East has provided many an opportunity. This trend seems likely to remain as increasing worldwide demand for Indian produce, that has vastly improved qualitatively, also fuels it.

The success of our existing manufacturing unit in Bankura provided the foundation stone for developments unfolding today. This success was not achieved alone. In fact, it would not have been at all possible without the active involvement and support of a very dynamic workforce led by excellent managers with vast experience in the manufacture of ferro alloys. The senior managers of the company will again be instrumental as we move into the next phase of development with the opening of our second unit in Jajpur, Orissa to manufacture 100,000 TPA manganese based ferro alloys – ferro manganese and silico manganese.

As has been proven over and over again, quality products have an assured market. To this end, I have insisted from the start that we invest in the best laboratory money can buy so that we can deliver a perfect product every time. But equipment without qualified people to make use of them is useless. To this end I have ensured that we have the best.

It is heartening to see the dividends of sincere effort. Since commencing commercial production in 2003, the company has seen phenomenal growth in its turnover and profit. On completion of the next phase of development, I dare say we will see yet greater success.

In the process I have learned that success is a journey, not a destination and everyday I seem to enjoy the journey more and more
